What is WorldNews.fyi?
WorldNews.fyi is a fully automated multilingual news platform. Every hour, our system monitors 100+ international RSS feeds from news organisations across every continent to surface the most significant events happening around the world. Claude AI (Anthropic) then synthesises multiple source articles on the same event into a single coherent, neutral article, published simultaneously in ten languages: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, and Japanese.
We do not claim authorship of original reporting. Every article on WorldNews.fyi is a synthesis derived from publicly available journalism by accredited news organisations. The sources used are listed transparently at the bottom of every page, with direct links to the original articles.
How it works
The platform runs two complementary pipelines, both triggered automatically every hour with no human intervention:
Pipeline A — International Discovery
- 100+ international RSS feeds are fetched in parallel, collecting articles published in the last four hours
- Non-English titles are pre-translated to English by Mistral AI so that articles from different language sources can be compared on equal footing
- Each article is embedded using OpenAI vector embeddings; articles with cosine similarity above 0.80 are grouped into a single story cluster
- Clusters already too similar to recently published articles (cosine ≥ 0.88) are discarded to prevent duplicate coverage
- The full text of each source article is extracted and passed to Claude AI, which synthesises a single neutral article in English — complete with key points, Perspectives, a pull quote, and structured tags
- A risk score (0–100) is assigned; articles above 60 are held for human review before publication
- The English article is immediately translated into nine further language editions by Mistral AI and all ten versions are published simultaneously
Pipeline B — RSS Enrichment
- Continuously ingests new items from the RSS source network and matches them against recently published articles using vector similarity
- When a new source article is semantically close to an existing published piece, it is linked as an additional source — keeping coverage up to date without generating a duplicate story
The Perspectives feature
Our signature feature — Perspectives — shows how different countries and regions interpret the same news event. For each major story we present 3–5 distinct viewpoints from international media, each attributed to a specific outlet that was actually part of the source cluster for that story.
The outlet name and country are drawn directly from real source articles. The editorial stance — whether critical, supportive, or neutral — is assessed by Claude AI based on the actual content of that outlet's coverage. Perspectives reflect how the cited outlets frame the story, not the opinion of WorldNews.fyi. We do not endorse any particular viewpoint. Our goal is to show the full spectrum of global opinion on any given story.
Editorial policy
WorldNews.fyi operates with full transparency about its AI-driven process. Every synthesised article includes the complete list of source articles used, with direct links to the original reporting. No article is published without passing an automated risk assessment; high-risk content is held for human review before going live.
WorldNews.fyi has no political affiliation and no advertising relationships that could influence content. The AI is instructed to maintain a neutral, authoritative tone — no sensationalism, no political alignment, no agenda. We acknowledge that AI-generated synthesis has inherent limitations. Readers should always consult primary sources for in-depth reporting on critical topics.
Who is behind this?
WorldNews.fyi is an independent project founded and operated by Giacomo Grazioli, Editor in Chief, who oversees the editorial process, source selection, and quality standards of the platform. The pipeline is built on Claude AI (Anthropic) for article synthesis, Mistral AI for translations, and OpenAI embeddings for semantic clustering and deduplication, with human supervision on content flagged by the risk-scoring system.
